Samarth Samaj a registered Public Trust, was founded by late Shri Sakharam Seth H. Jondhale in the year 1960 humbly beginning a school. In the last four decades, these small seedlings blossomed into giant Educational Complex catering 12,000 students at all levels.

Samarth Samaj is one of the leading and progressive educational trust imparting all types of education right from K.G., Junior College (Commerce & Science), Polytechnics and Engineering colleges. Samarth Samaj's Educational Complex is situated just two minutes away from the west side of Dombivli Railway Station in Thane District. The Management of Samarth Samaj, revodnised the need of trained manpower in the technical field to meet the needs of the nation for Twenty First Century.

Considering the need, demand and place around the city the Samarth Samaj started Shivajirao S. Jondhale College of Engineering at Dombivli (E), from academic year 1994-95.

The Engineering College is one of the esteemed institutions of S. H. Jondhale Educational complex and it is named as Shivajirao S. Jondhale College of Engineering. It is situated 3km from Dombivli Railway station on the eastern side, Kalyan Sheel road behind Venkatesh petrol pump, Sonarpada, Dombivli (E) Dist. Thane M.S. India. The Campus is spread over 17 acres of prime land with beautiful landscape and buildings and all facilities. The college has its own Administrative Office, Classrooms, Library, Well-furnished Reading room, Well Equipped Laboratories, Drawing Halls, Students Common Room, Engineering Workshop etc.
